Join us for a workshop that will prepare you to grow a fall garden at your home or community garden! The workshop will discuss why compost is so important, building a compost pile, seed starting, transplants, and our local planting calendar.
The workshop is aimed at those just getting started, but anyone is welcome to come and brush up on knowledge!

8:00 am  -  All About Compost!  And What Makes Good Soil

How to build compost bins, construct a compost pile; learn how compost builds your garden soil and helps your garden plants grow


9:15 am - Plants and Seeds/Maintaining Your Garden After Planting
What to do with seeds and those seedlings in small pots. What to plant now, how to plant seeds, and how to transplant so the seedlings thrive. How often to water, and how to keep those plants thriving.

10:30 am  - Roundtable – questions and discussion

11:00 am        Adjourn
