Bee Keeping Basics for Farmers

Saturday, June 26, 2021

9am - 11am

$25 per person

Join us at Farmers Assisting Returning Military (F.A.R.M.) in downtown Dallas as Rex Smith of Harmony Hallow Apiaries installs a bee colony and discusses the science of bee pollination, bee keeping equipment, safety, and pollinator dependent crops.

This event is designed for farmers, but all are welcome. There is a fee for this workshop because of a limited number of bee suits, so please be certain you can make the event before registering. And for your safety, if you are allergic to bee stings, please do not attend as there is no guarantee you will not be stung.

Rex Smith has been a beekeeper for 12 years and has gone through the Advanced Master Beekeeper program. Rex produces honey, sells and leases bees for pollination, honey production, and land agriculture valuation, and also removes unwanted bees from structures. Rex is also current President of the Texas Association of Professional Bee Removers trade organization.
