Understanding the basics of growing food is understanding your soil. Come get out of the heat and learn as James Jeffers Co-Founder of Farmers Assisting Returning Military (F.A.R.M.) provides an understanding of the basics of soil health, organic matter management, compost, and plant-based teas. He will also talk about how to scout for disease and pests, manage weeds, and attract beneficial insects that help protect your crops.

This class is a great opportunity for beginner growers to get a handle on soil health and for seasoned growers to brush up on details!

For an accurate participant count and so we are better prepared, please be sure to register for the class!

This workshop series is part of the Farm Success program, a collaboration between GROW North Texas and Farmers Assisting Returning Military made possible through funding from USDA Beginning Farmer and Rancher Development Program (award # 2021-49400-35628).
